The stock market seems to make triple-digit moves day after day. Volatility is high, comfort low. Yet so-called “safe” investments – CDs, Treasurys, money-market funds – have rock-bottom yields. Still, investors need to boost returns and make their portfolios grow. But how? We can help.
We customize portfolios for income and growth and tailor them for our clients’ needs. That is all we do. Our services do not include selling insurance, annuities or load mutual funds.
Simply put, we help clients generate better portfolio returns with modest and acceptable risks.
Good money management means understanding the risk tolerance of each client. And we do. It is their risk tolerance, not ours, that is paramount.
Whether you are investing primarily for growth to reach retirement, or income to enjoy your retirement, our managed account program deserves a closer look.
Yields on money-market funds may rise a token, but they will remain low. Many investors are disenchanted, because their money isn’t working for them and generating income. If you have unproductive cash, there is an alternative.
We tailor our managed accounts to meet the client’s comfort level using stocks, ETFs, and income vehicles. Most portfolios include lower-risk, better-rated vehicles with yields of five percent or more. We also hold some higher-yielding stocks with both dividend growth and capital gains potential. Prices fluctuate, of course, but their volatility is less than that of most equities.
If you are investing for retirement or are in need of stable income in retirement, then our program is for you.
Opening an account
Our services include assisting each client in opening an account with Charles Schwab & Co. Our arrangement with Schwab offers a number of important benefits. First, the account remains in the client’s name while simply giving Vomund Investment Management the authority to place trades and deduct agreed upon management fees. In addition, Schwab allows us to make trades at commission costs competitive with other discount brokerage houses.
Schwab sends individual trade confirmations and monthly account statements. Clients can also view activity on Schwab’s website. Vomund Investment Management sends quarterly statements.
